### Team: SAM Legal ### Position: Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst / License Compliance Specialist Position Type: Replacement Profile Department: Software Asset Management / IT Asset Management Experience: Relevant experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, License Compliance, or related areas - ## Job Summary We are looking for a Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst / License Compliance Specialist to support software license compliance, software asset lifecycle management, license optimization, and governance activities across the organization. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate software asset and licensing records, conducting compliance assessments, analyzing software utilization, supporting license reclamation and optimization initiatives, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective utilization of software investments. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, good stakeholder management capabilities, and experience working with IT Asset Management / SAM tools and enterprise software licensing environments.

- ## Key Responsibilities Conduct software compliance reviews and Effective License Position (ELP) assessments using ServiceNow and other asset management tools. Create, maintain, and validate software models, license entitlements, installations, and compliance records. Manage software assets throughout their lifecycle, including: Software provisioning De-provisioning License harvesting License reclamation License optimization Monitor software usage and license consumption across enterprise platforms such as Microsoft 365, Adobe, Docker, and other business applications. Support Azure-related integration activities and monitor SaaS license utilization. Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, organizational policies, and SAM governance standards. Support users and stakeholders with software access, licensing, cleanup, and asset management-related queries. Conduct software usage surveys and analyze user responses to identify inactive or underutilized licenses. Coordinate software license cleanup and reclamation activities by:



Validating usage and license data Identifying eligible cleanup candidates Obtaining required approvals Executing license revocation or reclamation activities Performing post-cleanup validation Conduct portal audits, entitlement reviews, and data validation exercises. Identify discrepancies and gaps in software asset and licensing records. Collaborate with business units, application owners, technical teams, server owners, and management to support compliance and optimization initiatives. Prepare and maintain reports, dashboards, executive summaries, and presentations related to software compliance, utilization, and cost optimization. Track software consumption trends and recommend opportunities for improved utilization and cost savings.
- ## Daily Responsibilities Initiate and track software usage surveys with users in bulk. Collect, consolidate, and analyze survey responses. Identify inactive, unused, or underutilized software licenses. Validate cleanup candidates through software portals and backend data. Use VS Code and data analysis techniques to compare datasets and identify discrepancies. Identify issues such as: Users not available in software portals Missing Request Items (RITMs) Duplicate records Invalid or inconsistent records Data mismatches between systems Prepare license cleanup datasets and obtain required stakeholder approvals. Execute license removals, provisioning changes, and software access updates. Perform post-cleanup validation to ensure successful execution and data accuracy. Respond to user queries related to software access, licensing, cleanup activities, and request submission. Coordinate with server owners and end users to collect software installation and upgrade requirements. Analyze requirements, track responses, and maintain status reports. Prepare project status reports, compliance reports, dashboards, and stakeholder presentations. Monitor software utilization and identify opportunities for license optimization and cost reduction.
