About Sakhi Master

Sakhi Master is an expanding food products brand focused on delivering quality rice and wheat products to customers across multiple markets. As our production capacity grows, we are looking to strengthen our distribution network and expand our presence across West Bengal and neighbouring states.

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager – Market Development to identify new business opportunities, develop distributor and wholesale networks, acquire high-volume buyers, and strengthen existing market relationships.

This is a hands-on, field-oriented role requiring extensive travel and direct interaction with distributors, traders, wholesalers and other bulk buyers.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and strengthen Sakhi Master's presence across existing markets in West Bengal.
- Identify and develop new markets across West Bengal and neighbouring states.
- Identify, approach and acquire distributors, wholesalers, traders and bulk buyers.
- Conduct regular market visits and personally meet prospective customers.
- Understand local market demand, purchasing patterns and customer requirements.
- Identify suitable rice varieties for different markets and customer segments.
- Present product samples and communicate product quality, varieties and commercial offerings.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, market positioning and customer preferences.
- Convert prospective buyers into regular business accounts.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with distributors and wholesale customers.
- Follow up with existing buyers to generate repeat orders and increase sales volumes.
- Coordinate with management regarding pricing,



negotiations and commercial terms.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and support timely collections.
- Maintain records of market visits, prospective buyers, orders, customer follow-ups and sales activities.
- Share market intelligence, competitor insights and business opportunities with management.
- Participate in market planning and pre-travel discussions with management.
- Contribute towards building a structured sales network and future sales team.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience.
- Experience in FMCG, preferably in the rice, food products or food distribution industry.
- Strong understanding of distributor, trader and wholesale markets.
- Ability to independently identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Good understanding of market pricing and commercial operations.
- Willingness to travel extensively across West Bengal and neighbouring states.
- Comfortable with overnight and outstation business travel.
- Responsible, honest and professional in handling business relationships.
- Graduate in any discipline.

Salary & Compensation
- Monthly salary: ₹45,000 – ₹50,000, depending on experience and suitability.
- Additional performance-linked incentives may be considered based on the company's sales structure.

The selected candidate will initially focus on personally developing markets, acquiring buyers and managing customer relationships. As the sales network expands, there will be an opportunity to progress into a senior sales leadership position, with responsibility for managing a team of sales executives.
