Role & responsibilities
- Prospect and Develop Leads: Identify and qualify potential clients in government agencies, construction firms, EPC contractors, and infrastructure developers through networking, trade shows, and digital outreach.
- Project Bid Management: Prepare and submit competitive bids for large-scale projects, including technical specifications, pricing, and compliance documentation for construction chemical products.
- Client Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key decisionmakers, providing tailored solutions to meet project needs such as road paving, waterproofing, and industrial applications.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Develop accurate sales pipelines, forecast revenue, and track performance metrics using CRM tools to ensure alignment with quarterly and annual targets.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the market construction chemical to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Product Demonstrations and Training: Conduct site visits, product demos,
and training sessions to showcase the quality and performance of our construction chemical range.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams, supply chain, and marketing to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Target Achievement: Drive sales growth by 20-30% year-over-year through strategic account management and upselling opportunities.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-8 years of experience in sales within the construction materials industry or similar products.
- Proven success in project-based sales, including tendering and contract negotiation.
- Strong understanding of the Indian infrastructure sector (e.g., NHAI projects, smart cities initiatives). Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for client meetings and site visits
