Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I in the Division of Community Medicine and Public Health Practice, School of Public Health (Ref.: 537806), to commence as soon as possible for a 2-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related discipline. They should have a strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese/Cantonese, coupled with solid analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills. They should be able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating both initiative and adaptability.

Proficiency in data management and statistical software, such as Excel, SPSS, or R, would be an advantage.

The appointee will support a range of research, training, and project-related activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with data collection, data management, data analysis, as well as preparing reports, presentations,



and manuscripts for publication. The appointee will liaise with NGOs and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate project implementation and collaboration. The appointee will provide administrative and logistical support for skilled training programmes and public education activities related to end-of-life care, support general office administration and project coordination, and undertake other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up 10% of basic salary.
