Job Title: SME RTR (Record to Report)

Summary:

The SME RTR (Record to Report) role is a critical position within the finance operations team, responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the organization. This role plays a key part in the end-to-end RTR process, encompassing general accounting, fixed assets, inter-company reconciliations, and period-end closing. The ideal candidate will lead a team with strong leadership and motivational abilities, driving process efficiency and maintaining high standards of accuracy.

The position requires a blend of technical accounting expertise, analytical thinking, and proficiency in workflow tools, making it essential for maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making. Based in Hyderabad, this is a full time, office-based role with an immediate notice period.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of RTR professionals with focus on performance, motivation, and development.
- Oversee end-to-end Record to Report processes, including general accounting, fixed assets, inter-company reconciliations, and period-end closing.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
- Identify and resolve complex accounting queries with logical and data-driven solutions.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency,



reduce errors, and streamline workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Utilize desktop and workflow management tools effectively to support daily operations and reporting cycles.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Master’s in Commerce (M.Com), Master of Business Administration (MBA - Finance), or equivalent (ICWA/CA).
- Minimum 1.5+ years of relevant experience in RTR within a BPO or MNC environment.
- Proven leadership and motivational skills with experience in team management.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Report to Report, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Inter-company accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of period-end closing procedures and financial reporting standards.
- Demonstrated ability in logical thinking, problem-solving, and query resolution.
- Experience in process improvement and workflow optimization.
- Flexibility in work content and timing to meet reporting deadlines.
