Role Description The QAM (Quality Assurance Manager) role at Original Marines S.p.A. is a full-time, in office position based in Tiruppur. The role is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes for apparel production, ensuring products meet company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include defining and implementing quality control procedures, performing inspections and audits at various stages of the production cycle, and monitoring compliance with technical specifications and brand guidelines.

The QAM will collaborate closely with production, sourcing, and design teams to address quality issues, propose corrective actions,



and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position also involves maintaining detailed documentation, preparing quality reports, and supporting training activities related to quality and best practices on the shop floor.

Qualifications

- Strong background in apparel quality management, including experience with garment inspection, testing standards, and quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, fabrics, trims, and finishing techniques, ideally within casual wear and sportswear.
- Skills in process improvement, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, size sets, and production documentation, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with production teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proficiency in basic data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel or similar) to track quality metrics and prepare structured reports.
- Experience in factory or on-site production environments, with familiarity in compliance, safety, and ethical manufacturing standards.
- Diploma or degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Tiruppur and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-driven setting.
