Summary:

UST is looking for a highly motivated and experienced QA Automation Engineer (SDET) with strong expertise in Java-based automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Selenium, Appium, API Automation, and Functional Testing. The candidate should be passionate about quality engineering, automation best practices, Agile methodologies, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer who can design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for web, mobile, and API applications. This role requires a strong SDET mindset, with the flexibility to support both automation and functional testing activities while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Appium.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Create and execute API automation test suites using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Prepare and maintain test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Perform manual and functional testing activities as part of the SDET role when required.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure quality deliverables.
- Identify, document, track,



and verify defects and work closely with development teams to drive resolution.
- Ensure end-to-end test coverage for critical business workflows.
- Integrate and maintain automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
- Promote test automation best practices and contribute to continuous process improvements.

What you need:

Requirements:

- Solid hands-on experience in Java-based test automation.
- Experience with Selenium for web automation testing.
- Experience with Appium for mobile automation testing.
- Exposure to API Automation testing using tools/frameworks such as REST Assured or Postman.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Experience in Functional Testing and test lifecycle management.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and automation integration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualification:





- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Relevant certifications in Automation Testing or Agile methodologies will be an added advantage.
