Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to manage project-wise accounting, Cost of Production (CoP), expense reconciliation, and financial documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent MS Excel skills, and the ability to handle project-related financial data accurately.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain Project Accounts and Cost of Production (CoP) statements.
- Record, classify, and reconcile project expenses under appropriate cost heads.
- Verify invoices, vouchers, supporting documents, and other project-related financial records.
- Prepare project-wise expense statements, cost schedules, and MIS reports.
- Regularly reconcile accounting records with underlying project documentation.
- Identify discrepancies, missing documents, and unusual expenses and report them to senior management.




- Coordinate with Field and Assurance teams to collect and validate project-related information.
- Maintain Excel-based working files, trackers, and project MIS.
- Assist in preparing project cost reports and closing project accounts.
- Ensure all accounting records and supporting schedules are properly maintained and audit-ready.
- Coordinate with clients and project personnel for necessary clarifications and additional information.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and fundamentals.
- Excellent command of MS Excel.
- Valuable understanding of ledgers, reconciliations, expense classification, and financial reporting.
- Experience in handling large volumes of financial data with accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to independently manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification & Experience

Option 1:

- Inter CA / CA Inter with approximately 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

Option 2:

- B.Com / M.Com with approximately 4 years of relevant accounting experience.

Additional Requirements:

- Hands-on experience in preparing accounts and financial statements.
- Working knowledge of accounting software.
- Extensive experience working with MS Excel and financial data.
- advantage -Experience in the Media & Entertainment industry.
- Particularly valuable: experience working with film / television / OTT production houses.
- Familiarity with production accounting, Cost of Production, production budgets or project-based accounting.
