Role Description The Procurement/Purchase Officer – Pharma (PPIC) is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities for pharma/herbal/otc/ ayurvedic/ supplements/ cosmetics . products and related materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling purchase requisitions from internal stakeholders, preparing and coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery to support uninterrupted production and distribution. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, aligning procurement plans with demand forecasts, and maintaining accurate records in procurement systems.

The officer will support contract negotiation, vendor evaluation, and price comparison to optimize cost, quality, and reliability, while adhering to regulatory and company standards. Close collaboration with warehousing, finance, regulatory, and quality assurance teams is required to ensure compliant, efficient,



and well-documented procurement operations.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, including end-to-end procurement workflows in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment.
- Hands-on experience with purchase orders and purchase requisitions, including documentation, tracking, and coordination with internal departments and suppliers.
- Ability to support contract negotiation with vendors, focusing on pricing, terms, quality, and delivery performance.
- Solid analytical skills to review demand forecasts, compare supplier offers, monitor inventory, and generate procurement reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Pharmacy, or a related field; a diploma or certification in procurement or materials management is an advantage.
- Proficiency with ERP or procurement software, MS Excel, and other relevant tools used for purchasing and inventory control.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams on-site in Mumbai.

- To coordinate for commercial costing, legal agreements, and product developments -and documentations with manufacturers under new product development .
- To finalise new manufacturer basis costing, and registration guidelines, and accreditations with the director.
- to maintain a regular database and reports of all activities related to product and plants.
- To coordinate with internal regulatory team, QA team, for ensuring smooth completion of product development at site.
