Summary

The Process Simulations Engineer designs and maintains quantitative models to forecast business outcomes and stress-test strategic scenarios across GE Vernova's Greenfield and Brownfield capital projects. This role builds high-fidelity simulations of supply chains, operational workflows, and market shifts; uses them to quantify risk and project the impact of variables such as resource constraints, policy changes, or demand fluctuations; and translates simulation outputs into clear, objective recommendations that inform capital allocation and lean/continuous improvement decisions.

Model Architecture:

Develop high-fidelity simulations replicating complex business environments (supply chains, operational workflows, market/demand shifts) grounded in a detailed understanding of current-state (as-is) operations

Scenario Analysis:

Use models to stress-test initiatives, quantify risk, and project the impact of variables like resource constraints, OEE drift, or economic fluctuations.

Translating Insights:

- Convert raw, stochastic simulation outputs into transparent, objective, decision-ready recommendations for executives and program leadership.
- Support the lean transformation roadmap by validating process and capacity scenarios ahead of investment decisions
- Build high-value business cases for capital investment (headcount, layout, capacity) grounded in simulation-validated data
- Support Kaizens and continuous improvement projects with scenario modeling, what-if analysis, and efficiency recommendations




- Validate and refine models iteratively against real production data to maintain accuracy over time.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Requirement

- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, or lean/operations excellence roles.
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (VSM, takt time, line balancing, standard work)
- Hands-on experience with DES or business/process simulation tools (e.g., AnyLogic, FlexSim, Arena, Simio)
- Experience with data cleaning and statistical analysis such as t-testing, ANOVA, and regression.
- Have basic knowledge on Java program.
- Demonstrated ability to translate operational data into quantitative models and back into business recommendations
- Experience supporting Greenfield site design, Brownfield capacity/efficiency projects, or automation business-case validation
- Strong data analysis skills to convert production/operational data into model inputs
- Ability to communicate complex, stochastic simulation results simply and objectively to non-technical/executive stakeholders
- Comfort working directly with plant/site teams to gather ground-truth process data
- Intellectual curiosity and a builder's mindset; energized by creating new modeling approaches and simulation capabilities in a function that is still taking shape, rather than following an established playbook
