We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Power BI Lead Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have 10-12 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI and expertise in designing interactive dashboards, developing reports, and transforming data into meaningful business insights.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining BI solutions, collaborating with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, and ensuring data accuracy and performance. Experience in the banking domain is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and publish interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI
Service.
- Connect to data sources, import data, and transform data using Power Query Editor and DAX.
- Build and optimize data models to support scalable, efficient, and performant reporting solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into visual insights.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and governance best practices within Power BI.
- Schedule and manage dataset refreshes and monitor performance.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain version control and documentation for dashboards and reports using GitHub
Qualification & Desired Skills
Experience: 10-12 Years
Education B. Tech / B.E.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Solid proficiency in:
- Use of AI tools and features in PowerBI
- Data modelling
- DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
- Power Query (M language)
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and relational databases.
- Experience working with data sources such as SQL Server, Semantic Model, Azure, or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with data governance, dashboard performance tuning, and security models in Power BI.
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Using GitHub
