Role Description The Pastry Assistant is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role supports the pastry and bakery team in preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include measuring ingredients, mixing doughs and batters, operating bakery equipment, and assisting in decorating and plating items.

The Pastry

Assistant helps maintain high hygiene and safety standards, organizes workstations, and ensures proper storage of ingredients and finished products. The role also involves collaborating with the kitchen team, following production schedules, and contributing creative ideas for new pastry items when needed.

Qualifications

- Strong practical skills in Bakery and Baking, with experience preparing a range of pastries and baked goods.




- Basic Cooking skills to support overall kitchen operations and pastry preparation.
- Commitment to Hygiene standards, including food safety, cleanliness, and proper handling of ingredients.
- Creativity Skills to assist in pastry presentation, dessert decoration, and development of new menu items.
- Prior experience in a professional bakery, patisserie, or restaurant kitchen is preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately, work efficiently under time constraints, and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive, learning-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak service times; formal culinary or bakery training is an advantage.
