Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Patent Prosecution Associate to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for handling patent prosecution matters, including patent drafting, filing, examination, responding to office actions, and managing patent applications before the Indian Patent Office.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, and prepare high-quality patent specifications, including provisional and complete specifications.
- Conduct patent prosecution activities before the Indian Patent Office.
- Prepare and file responses to First Examination Reports (FERs).
- Analyze examination reports, objections, and citations raised by patent examiners.
- Draft detailed responses to technical and legal objections.
- Attend hearings before the Indian Patent Office and prepare hearing submissions.
- Conduct prior art searches and patentability assessments.
- Analyze patent claims and assist in claim amendments and claim strategy.




- Handle pre-grant and post-grant opposition matters, where required.
- Coordinate with inventors, clients, and technical teams to understand inventions.
- Monitor patent application status, prosecution timelines, and statutory deadlines.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Strong understanding of Indian Patent Law and Patent Rules.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in patent drafting and prosecution.
- Excellent technical writing, analytical, and legal drafting skills.
- Practical experience in handling FER responses and patent hearings.
- Knowledge of Indian Patent Office procedures and online filing systems.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in patent drafting and prosecution across different technical domains.
- Familiarity with international patent prosecution (PCT, USPTO, EPO).
- Strong research and interpretation skills.
- Ability to independently manage patent prosecution assignments.
