Role Summary

We are looking for an OT/ICS PLC Engineer with robust hands-on expertise in PLC programming, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning across industrial automation systems. The candidate should have strong proficiency in more than one major PLC platform and hands-on exposure to other OEM platforms. Basic working knowledge of SCADA,DCS,HMI, industrial communication protocols, OT networking, and OT/ICS cybersecurity is required.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and implement structured PLC code using IEC 61131-3 languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams).
- Program and maintain systems across Siemens (TIA Portal, STEP 7, S7-1200/1500 etc.), Schneider Electric (EcoStructure, Control Expert, etc.), ABB (ABB500/800, Automation builder, CODESYS etc.), Phoenix Contact (PLCnext Engineer, PC WORX, etc.), Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000, RS Logix, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, etc.) and other OEM (PLC/HMI) platforms.
- Design SCADA/DCS/HMI interfaces using Wonderware/InTouch, FactoryTalk View, WinCC, ABB Engineering workplace etc. for clear process visibility.
- Configure and troubleshoot various industrial protocols including Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, Profinet, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850 etc.
- Diagnose complex software, hardware, and network faults on active systems, minimizing downtime.
- Backup/restore of programs and configurations.
- Generate and maintain I/O lists, functional specifications, and wiring diagrams.
- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and cross-functional IT/OT teams for hardware/software support and smooth execution.
- Support VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing)



activities and additional R&D; projects related to OT/ICS control system security.
- Provide support to the training team during OT workshops, training sessions, and testing activities etc.
- Travel to client locations as required to support OT sector audits and assessments.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on expertise in hardware and software knowledge of Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Rockwell, Phoenix Contact, etc. PLC & HMI systems.
- Hands-on experience working on multi-OEM PLC platforms across different projects.
- Working knowledge of SCADA,DCS & HMI systems such as Wonderware/InTouch, ABB Workplace ,WinCC, FactoryTalk View, etc., with ability to troubleshoot PLC-HMI/SCADA communication.
- Working knowledge of OT/ICS network architecture, Purdue Model, industrial firewalls and network segmentation.
- Basic understanding of OT/ICS cybersecurity concepts and standards such as IEC 62443 and NIST.
- Working knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, Profinet, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, IEC 60870-5-101/104 and IEC 61850.
- Basic working knowledge of network/security testing tools - Wireshark, Nmap, Modscan, etc.
- Strong analytical and root-cause troubleshooting skills across software, hardware, and network layers in live environments.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
