1. Operate solvent-based and solventless lamination machines.
2. Understand laminate structures such as PET/PE, BOPP/CPP, PET/MetPET/PE and other multilayer combinations.
3. Verify the job card, material specifications and approved process parameters.
4. Ensure correct adhesive selection, mixing ratio and preparation as per supplier specifications.
5. Control adhesive coating weight and application uniformity.
6. Set nip pressure, roller temperature, web tension and machine speed.
7. Monitor oven temperature and drying conditions in solvent-based lamination.
8. Monitor adhesive temperature, viscosity and mixing ratio in solventless lamination.
9. Ensure proper bonding and lamination quality.
10. Identify defects such as bubbles, wrinkles, tunnelling, delamination, adhesive marks and uneven coating.
11. Monitor curing conditions and maintain proper roll identification.
12. Minimise adhesive consumption and material wastage.
13. Maintain production records, adhesive consumption and machine downtime.
14. Follow safety procedures for handling adhesives and solvents.
