We are a research lab at Stanford Medicine working on some of the hardest problems in maternal and newborn health. We pair clinical expertise with data science to help clinicians see trouble earlier. Our work appears in journals including Nature Medicine and Science Translational Medicine, and tools built in the lab are used widely in research and industry. We do this work because no family should lose a mother or a baby to a complication that could have been caught in time.
About the role
We are looking for OB/GYN residents and fellows to review synthetic labour and delivery cases for a study on obstetric care quality, recording whether care followed ACOG and AWHONN guidelines. It's a chance to put your labour ward judgment to work on research aimed at making childbirth safer, and to publish it.

- Record your assessments in a structured online form.
- Join a short calibration session before reviews begin.
Who we're looking for
- OB/GYN residents (second year or above), fellows, or recent graduates
- Hands-on labour ward experience
- Working knowledge of ACOG guidelines
What we offer
- Co-authorship on the resulting publication
- Research experience with an active maternal-health research team
- Remote and adaptable, around your shifts
- Honorarium per case, paid as an independent contractor
How to apply Apply with your CV. We will share study details and terms with shortlisted reviewers. A confidentiality agreement applies.
