Role Summary
Incubyte is hiring an NPI Engineer II to work on-site at a client's JDM partner facility in Gurugram. This person owns build and validation execution for assigned areas at the JDM, working with the in office Senior NPI Engineer and the client's HQ-based Technical Program Manager (TPM). This is a hands-on, on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Be present for build events (EVT/DVT/PVT/MP) and day-to-day line activity at the JDM.
- Drive build planning with the JDM for your assigned area: line setup, work instructions, fixture/tooling readiness and build schedules, in line with the program plan.
- Own test and validation execution for your assigned area — functional, reliability/environmental, safety/compliance — making sure test plans are followed and results are properly documented.
- Triage failures and defects on the line; drive root cause analysis and corrective action with JDM engineering, escalating as needed.
- Follow and enforce the ECO/deviation process in your area.
- Flag local dependencies, delays or blockers against the build schedule.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly program reviews with accurate local data: yield, open issues, schedule variance.
- Keep the shared action-item/issue tracker current for your items and drive them to closure with the JDM.
Requirements
- 3–5 years in NPI, technical program management, manufacturing engineering or test engineering for electronic hardware products (cameras, sensors, IoT devices or similar preferred).
- Experience supporting builds at a contract manufacturer or JDM/ODM, ideally in India or greater Asia.
- Working knowledge of DFM/DFT, test fixture design/bring-up, statistical process control, and planning tools like Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
- Comfortable reading schematics, BOMs and mechanical drawings; able to communicate technical issues clearly across engineering, quality and ops.
- Experience with ECO processes and deviation/waiver tracking.
- Strong bias for being physically present on the line, with the discipline to track and report status accurately.
- Able to work Gurugram-based hours with overlap into US working hours for HQ syncs, including calls with the US team until 10–11 PM IST.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
-
Location: Based in Gurugram (or in close proximity), India, at the JDM partner facility.
