Job Summary

Responsible for the overall management and supervision of the Medical Intensive Care Unit, ensuring quality patient care, patient safety, effective staff management, and compliance with hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily MICU activities.
- Ensure quality nursing care for critically ill patients.
- Monitor staff performance, attendance, and duty allocation.
- Ensure proper functioning and availability of ICU equipment.
- Maintain adequate stock of medicines and consumables.
- Ensure proper documentation and shift handover.
- Monitor infection control and patient safety practices.
- Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare departments.
- Conduct staff training and clinical supervision.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and hospital protocols.

Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing. Experience: 3–5 years of ICU experience, preferably with supervisory experience.

Reports To: Nursing Superintendent / Nursing Administration.
