Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive Merchandising / Merchant Operations Executive to manage vendor coordination, purchase orders, pricing, order fulfilment and delivery tracking for the Lumber & Hardware category.

The ideal candidate should have experience in merchandising, procurement, purchase operations, vendor management or category operations, preferably in retail, building materials, hardware or home improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers through regular coordination and follow-ups.
- Create, process and manage purchase orders (POs) based on business requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal supply chain teams to ensure timely product availability and deliveries.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and slots with the supply chain team.




- Work on customer pricing based on approved margin slabs and guidelines provided by the Category Manager.
- Track open purchase orders, dispatches, pending deliveries, delays and short supplies.
- Coordinate with store teams and provide regular updates on customer order status.
- Monitor order fulfilment and ensure timely resolution of vendor and delivery-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records, MIS reports and trackers related to procurement and merchandising operations.
- Support the Category Manager in day-to-day category operations.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Supply Chain, Operations or Retail Management will be an added advantage.
- 2–4 years of experience in Merchandising, Purchase, Procurement, Vendor Management or Category Operations.
- Candidates from Retail, FMCG, Building Materials, Lumber, Plywood, Laminates or Hardware industries are preferred.
- Valuable communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors, purchase orders and delivery timelines.
