Position: Mechanical Equipment Engineer / Mechanical Equipment Manager

Location: Dahej & Jamnagar - Gujarat

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 8 to 20 years of relevant experience

Industry Background

- Candidates must have experience in large-scale Industrial Projects, Petrochemical, Chemical, Refinery, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas, Power, or Process Industries.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Equipment Engineer

- Monitor and manage installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of static and rotary equipment.
- Review equipment specifications, technical datasheets, drawings, and vendor documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Conduct equipment inspections, performance evaluations, and reliability assessments.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives.
- Participate in equipment selection, technical bid evaluations, and vendor interactions.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and engineering documentation.

Mechanical Equipment Manager
- Lead the Mechanical Equipment function for project execution and operational support.




- Develop strategies for equipment reliability, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
- Manage installation, commissioning, shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance activities.
- Review and approve technical specifications, engineering deliverables, and equipment procurement packages.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
- Drive safety, quality, and operational excellence across all mechanical activities.
- Lead vendor management, contractor performance reviews, and technical discussions.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams while ensuring adherence to organizational standards and best practices.

Required Technical Skills

- Static Equipment: Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Towers, Tanks, Boilers
- Rotary Equipment: Pumps, Compressors, Blowers, Turbines, Gearboxes
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design Standards and Industry Codes
- Equipment Inspection, Reliability & Maintenance Management
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Analysis
- Turnaround/Shutdown Planning and Execution
- Vendor Coordination and Technical Evaluation
- Familiarity with SAP PM, CMMS, or other Maintenance Management Systems
