- Generate and verify all final deliverables including IMF (Interoperable Master Format), Apple ProRes packages, DNxHD, and high-end audio stems.
2. Quality Control (QC) & Troubleshooting
- Conduct rigorous technical Quality Control (QC) on picture and sound (checking for framing, audio sync, phase issues, pixel errors, textless elements, and legal color/audio levels).
- Troubleshoot complex technical glitches related to codecs, metadata, frame rates, and render errors under tight deadlines.
- Liaise with sound design teams, colorists, and VFX supervisors to ensure seamless integration of elements into the final master.
3. Studio Compliance & Specifications
- Stay up-to-date with evolving technical standards and delivery specs mandated by major global streaming platforms (Netflix,
Amazon Prime, Disney+, etc.) and international theatrical distributors.
- Manage archival storage protocols, LTO creation, and secure data handover to clients and production houses.
4. Team Leadership & Workflow Optimization
- Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of junior mastering artists and QC operators.
- Continuously optimize internal post-production workflows, software tools, and render farms to increase efficiency and minimize turnaround times.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience in post-production.
- Experience:
- 6 to 10 years of professional experience in film post-production, with at least 3–4 years specifically focused on DI mastering, Digital Cinema Package (DCP) generation, and multi-format mastering.

- Hands-on expertise with industry-standard mastering and grading tools (e.g., DaVinci Resolve Studio, Colorfront Transkoder, easyDCP, or Final Cut Pro/Premiere Pro pipelines).
- In-depth knowledge of audio-video codecs, wrappers, frame-rate conversions, and color science (ACES workflows).
- Thorough understanding of theatrical projection standards and digital cinema packages.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional eye for detail, precision, and problem-solving under pressure.
- Strong project management and communication skills to coordinate between creative artists, producers, and clients.
