Raay Neo Pharma (RNP) | Merchant Exporter – Pharmaceutical Finished Formulations

Position Overview

Raay Neo Pharma (RNP) is a merchant exporter of pharmaceutical finished formulations, serving international markets across Africa, Latin America and Europe. As a merchant exporter, RNP does not manufacture products in-house; instead, it sources finished formulations from a network of approved Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) / CDMOs and manages the end-to-end commercial, regulatory and logistical process of bringing these products to overseas distributors and partners. This role is the primary link between RNP and its CMO/CDMO partners, responsible for identifying and developing the right sourcing partners, securing competitive and compliant product supply, and ensuring the documentation and coordination needed to fulfil export orders on time.

Key Responsibilities

CMO / CDMO Relationship Management

- Act as the primary interface between Raay Neo Pharma and its CMO/CDMO partners for all sourcing-related matters.
- Identify, evaluate and onboard recent CMOs/CDMOs capable of manufacturing finished formulations to the quality, regulatory and export standards required by RNP's target markets.
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing CMOs/CDMOs by developing new products and expanding the shared portfolio.
- Build and maintain a structured, up-to-date database of existing and potential CMO/CDMO suppliers, including their capabilities, certifications and product ranges.

Product Sourcing & Commercial Evaluation

- Source finished formulations for products shortlisted by RNP's international distributors, obtaining competitive quotes from multiple CMOs/CDMOs for commercial evaluation.




- Work with CMOs to obtain cost sheets for selected products; independently prepare cost sheets where these are not available from the CMO.
- Track landed cost, margins and competitiveness of sourced products to support pricing decisions for export markets.

Regulatory & Export Documentation

- Liaise with CMOs/CDMOs to obtain the documentation required for dossier filing and regulatory registration in destination countries.
- Coordinate with CMOs for artworks, product samples, and export-critical certificates such as CoPPs (Certificates of Pharmaceutical Product) and FSCs (Free Sale Certificates).
- Ensure all sourced products and accompanying documentation meet the regulatory requirements of the relevant export markets.

Agreements & Contracts

- Drive execution, negotiation and closure of agreements with CMOs/CDMOs, including Confidentiality Agreements, Development/Master Service Agreements, Dossier In-Licensing Agreements and Business Protection Agreements.
- Ensure agreements are structured appropriately for RNP's role as a merchant exporter, with manufacturing and GMP obligations clearly held by the CMO/CDMO as manufacturer of record.

Order Processing & Vendor Coordination

- Prepare Purchase Orders and set up CMO Masters in the ERP system for order processing.




- Track and follow up with CMOs/CDMOs to ensure timely delivery of products against confirmed export orders.
- Ensure timely payments to CMO/CDMO partners to maintain a smooth flow of ongoing projects and ensure adherence to contractual terms.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate with internal teams — R&D;, QA, RA, Business Development, Finance and PPIC — to ensure timely vendor approvals and on-schedule product deliveries.
- Anticipate, identify and proactively resolve issues or conflicts arising within internal teams or with external CMO/CDMO partners.

Travel

- Travel as required for meetings with CMOs/CDMOs, stakeholders, and off-site personnel/management.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical finished-dosage sourcing, CMO/CDMO operating models, and export/merchant-exporter business structures.
- Working knowledge of regulatory export documentation (CoPP, FSC, GMP certificates, dossier requirements) for markets such as Africa, Latin America and Europe.
- Strong negotiation skills, with experience drafting and closing commercial agreements.
- Good cross-functional coordination skills, able to work with R&D;, QA, RA, Finance and PPIC teams.
- Comfortable working with ERP systems for PO creation and vendor master management.
- Excellent relationship management and follow-up discipline to ensure on-time CMO deliveries.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field; an MBA is an added advantage.
- Prior experience of 10+ years in pharmaceutical export, merchant exporting, international business development, or CMO/CDMO sourcing preferred.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
