Position: Manager - AI/ML Engineering

Reporting to: Senior Director - Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Manager - AI & Machine Learning to lead a team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers in building scalable AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, and Generative AI, coupled with proven leadership experience in driving high-impact AI initiatives from conception to deployment.

This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, stakeholder management, people leadership, and hands-on involvement in delivering AI/ML solutions that create measurable business value.

Roles & Responsibility:

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Business, and Leadership teams to define AI/ML strategy and roadmap.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of AI/ML projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Design and oversee the development, deployment,



and monitoring of machine learning and deep learning models.
- Establish best practices for data science, model development, experimentation, model governance, and MLOps.
- Guide teams in building scalable real-time and batch AI/ML pipelines.
- Drive initiatives involving NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Generative AI applications.
- Review model performance, ensure continuous optimization, and implement model monitoring frameworks.
- Present technical solutions and business insights to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve data quality, feature engineering, and data pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with AI governance, security, privacy, and ethical AI standards.
- Manage resource planning, team performance, hiring, and capability development.

Desired Profile: -

- 12 years of overall experience, with at least 3+ years in leading AI/ML or Data Science teams.
- Strong hands-on experience delivering enterprise-scale AI and Machine Learning solutions.
- Experience in both real-time and batch-processing AI/ML pipelines.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and AI/ML frameworks.
- Strong expertise in:

1. Machine Learning
2. Deep Learning
3. Natural Language Processing (NLP)
4. Generative AI and LLMs
5. Predictive Analytics
6. Recommendation Systems

- Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, and related AI libraries.




- Solid understanding of MLOps, model lifecycle management, and production deployment.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to improve engineering productivity.
- Proven ability to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, Spark/PySpark, and ML orchestration tools.
- Experience implementing enterprise GenAI, RAG, Agentic AI, and conversational AI solutions.
- Familiarity with vector databases, knowledge graphs, and AI governance frameworks.
- Experience managing globally distributed teams.
- Exposure to Telecom, SaaS, Enterprise Software, or Product-based organizations.
