Key Responsibilities

A. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

- Plan and execute PM schedules for all robots, controllers, teach pendants, grippers, and cobot safety systems.
- Monitor condition parameters: servo motor current, motor temperature, gearbox backlash and vibration, cable wear, encoder battery status, brake health, lubrication and grease analysis.
- Implement predictive maintenance using controller diagnostics, IoT/SAP data and trend analysis.
- Take scheduled backups of programs, parameters and system images (controller, PLC, HMI) with version control.
- Calm and quick under line-stop pressure; follows a structured diagnostic method instead of trial and error.
- Obsessed with root cause: does not leave a failure until it cannot repeat.
- Safety first: never bypasses interlocks, always follows LOTO.
- Coaches operators and technicians; shares knowledge and builds multi-skilled teams.
- Works well with Production, Quality, Safety, OEMs and Procurement to achieve the zero-downtime target.

B.

Breakdown

Response & Root Cause Analysis

- Lead rapid diagnosis and restoration of robot and cobot faults (alarms, servo faults, collision, calibration loss, communication errors, I/O faults).
- Perform RCA for every breakdown and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain a breakdown history and lessons-learned database; eliminate repeat failures.
- Run war-room reviews for critical failures; ensure escalation matrix is followed.

C. Reliability & Continuous Improvement





- Drive TPM / Autonomous Maintenance with production operators on robotic cells.
- Identify chronic losses using OEE, Pareto and downtime analysis; execute kaizen and poka-yoke.
- Carry out criticality analysis (ABC) of robots and define maintenance strategy per criticality.
- Plan overhauls, gearbox/motor replacements and controller upgrades before end of life.
- Robot Intrigation with external equipment and successfully execution .

D. Spares, Vendor & Cost Management

- Define and maintain critical spares (servo motors, drives, reducers, cables, batteries, boards, EOAT parts) with min/max levels.
- Manage OEM/AMC vendors (e.g. FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, Universal Robots, Doosan, Techman); track SLA and response time.
- Control maintenance budget, spares inventory and AMC costs; justify CAPEX for upgrades and replacements.

E. Safety, Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure compliance with robot safety standards (ISO 10218, ISO/TS 15066 for cobots, risk assessments, safety PLC, light curtains, safety fences, E-stops).
- Conduct periodic safety function validation and LOTO practices on robotic cells.
- Maintain CMMS records, SOPs, work instructions, checklists and audit readiness (IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 as applicable).

F. Team Development

- Train and certify technicians on robot programming, troubleshooting and safety.
- Build skill matrix, multi-skilling and shift-wise coverage to ensure 24x7 response.
