Key Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, and support Linux kernel drivers for display and multimedia subsystems.
- Work extensively with DRM/KMS architecture to configure and manage display pipelines.
- Develop and integrate video capture and processing components using the V4L2 framework.
- Enable and validate display controllers, DPU hardware blocks, and associated SoC interfaces.
- Implement and troubleshoot DRM components, V4L2 sub-device drivers, and media controller interfaces.
- Support hardware bring-up and integration of display and video functionalities on embedded platforms.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to display rendering, video streaming, synchronization, and driver performance.
- Work with Yocto-based embedded Linux environments for driver integration and system customization.
- Improve display and multimedia pipeline efficiency with respect to memory utilization, latency, throughput, and power consumption.
- Coordinate with hardware design, firmware, BSP, and application development teams to ensure successful platform integration.

Required Technical Expertise

Linux Kernel &

- Device Drivers

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Linux kernel, display, or multimedia driver development.
- Robust understanding of Linux kernel architecture, device driver interfaces, memory management, and hardware interaction.
- Proven experience in developing and debugging kernel-space drivers using C/C++.

Display &

- Graphics Frameworks





- Hands-on knowledge of Linux DRM (Direct Rendering Manager) and KMS (Kernel Mode Setting).
- Familiarity with DRM architecture, including CRTCs, planes, encoders, connectors, and framebuffers.
- Experience with display controllers, DPU architecture, and embedded display pipelines.

Video &

- Media Frameworks

- Practical understanding of V4L2 (Video4Linux2) architecture and driver development.
- Experience with media controller interfaces, V4L2 sub-devices, and video buffer management using VB2.
- Understanding of video capture, processing, and display integration.

Embedded Linux &

- Debugging

- Experience with Yocto Project, embedded Linux BSP integration, and build customization.
- Ability to diagnose kernel, display, and multimedia issues using Linux debugging and tracing utilities.
- Strong C/C++ programming and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Additional Skills

- Exposure to camera, ISP, video processing, and display subsystem integration.
- Familiarity with GStreamer, Wayland, Weston, or Android graphics and media frameworks.
- Understanding of DMA-BUF sharing and zero-copy video processing techniques.
- Knowledge of HDR processing, hardware composition, multi-layer display, and low-latency multimedia systems.
- Experience optimizing graphics and video pipelines for embedded SoCs.
- Contributions to open-source Linux kernel or multimedia driver projects would be an advantage.
