Role Description This is a full time, on-site Lead Software Engineer role based in the Greater Kolkata Area.

The Lead Software

Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and applications, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities include leading a team of engineers, reviewing code, setting technical standards, and guiding architecture and design decisions. The role involves collaborating with product and cross-functional teams, translating requirements into robust technical solutions, and managing the full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment and support.

Engineer will also mentor team members, promote best practices, and drive continuous improvement in development processes and tooling.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming using modern languages and frameworks.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and integration with front-end systems.
- Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience leading engineering teams, conducting code reviews, and defining technical standards.
- Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and cloud platforms.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, propose solutions, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and cooperative development environments is beneficial.
