Role & responsibilities

- Perform chemical, physical, and application testing of pigments/color products for plastics applications.

- Conduct testing of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and customer/application samples as per approved specifications and test methods.

- Perform routine laboratory analysis such as strength/tinting strength, shade, colorimetric analysis, dispersion, moisture, pH, particle size and other relevant pigment properties.

- Carry out plastics application trials and evaluate pigment performance in suitable polymer systems.

- Prepare samples and conduct color matching, shade evaluation, dispersion and application testing as per defined procedures.

- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as spectrophotometer/colorimeter, analytical balance, moisture analyzer and other relevant laboratory equipment.





- Ensure proper calibration, standardization, preventive maintenance and logbook maintenance of laboratory instruments.

- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS), deviations, abnormal test results and customer/application-related quality issues and support root-cause analysis.

- Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, worksheets, COA-related data and other technical documentation.

- Prepare and maintain SOPs, test methods, specifications and laboratory documentation as required.

- Support recent product development, product improvement, troubleshooting and scale-up activities related to plastics applications.
