Reports to: Plant Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Water and Effluent Analysis

- Perform testing and analysis of influent, treated water, and effluent from the ZLD plant to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

- Analyze key parameters such as pH, COD, BOD, TDS, hardness, conductivity, turbidity, and heavy metal concentrations.

- Monitor quality at various stages of the ZLD process, including pretreatment, RO, MEE (Multiple Effect Evaporator), and crystallizer systems.

1. Process Optimization

- Support plant operations by providing accurate and timely test results to optimize treatment processes.

- Identify deviations in water quality and recommend adjustments to maintain process efficiency.

- Assist in fine-tuning chemical dosing for coagulation, flocculation, and scaling prevention.

1. Compliance and Reporting

- Ensure that treated water and effluent meet the discharge standards set by environmental authorities.

- Prepare and submit detailed analysis reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly compliance reports.

- Maintain accurate records of testing results for audits and regulatory reviews.

1. Instrumentation and Calibration

- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as pH meters, TDS meters, spectrophotometers, and other analytical tools.

- Conduct regular calibration and validation of laboratory equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.

1. Safety and Hazard Management

- Adhere to all safety protocols,



especially when handling chemicals and hazardous samples.

- Follow proper procedures for the disposal of chemical and biological waste generated during analysis.

- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemicals used in the lab.

1. Chemical and Inventory Management

- Prepare reagents and standards required for testing and analysis.

- Monitor the inventory of lab chemicals and consumables, and ensure timely replenishment to avoid disruptions.

- Ensure proper storage and labeling of chemicals as per safety guidelines.

1. Housekeeping and Maintenance

- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the laboratory to ensure efficient operations.

- Regularly inspect and clean laboratory equipment and ensure they are in optimal working condition.

1. Training and Support

- Train ZLD plant operators and junior staff on sampling procedures, basic tests, and interpretation of results.

- Collaborate with plant engineers and operators to troubleshoot quality issues and improve plant performance.

1. Research and Development Support

- Assist in testing and validating new chemicals, methods, or technologies for improving ZLD efficiency.

Conduct experiments to support process improvements and innovative solutions for water recovery and waste minimization

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹37,000.00 per month
