ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We're building IMDX – India Mobility Data Exchange (e-Gati Setu), an ambitious initiative to develop India's next-generation mobility data-space platform, enabling secure, trusted, interoperable and intelligent data exchange across the automotive and mobility ecosystem.

This is an chance to be part of the founding technology team and build a platform from the ground up, working with global data-space technologies and frameworks aligned with International Data Spaces (IDSA), Automotive Catena-X and Tractus-X.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Drive backend architecture, technology decisions and platform engineering.
- Lead hands-on development using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
- Design and develop scalable microservices, REST APIs and integrations.
- Work on database architecture, distributed systems and messaging infrastructure.
- Explore and integrate Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC) and Tractus-X frameworks.
- Drive platform security, performance, deployment and scalability.




- Take end-to-end ownership of engineering delivery and collaborate with business and technology teams.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Core Stack: Java 21 | Spring Boot | PostgreSQL | Redis | Apache Kafka

Platform & Tools: Microservices | REST APIs | Docker | CI/CD | Cloud Infrastructure

Additional Advantage: Eclipse EDC | Tractus-X | Catena-X | Data-Space Architecture | OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 4–8 years of experience in backend development and platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience in designing scalable backend applications and microservices.
- Good understanding of databases, APIs, distributed systems and application security.
- Ability to take technical ownership and independently drive development.
- Passion for emerging technologies, innovation and building products from the ground up.
