Description:

Join our dynamic team as a Mainframe Migration Specialist responsible for planning and executing the migration of legacy mainframe applications, data, and workloads to contemporary platforms. With 10-12 years of experience, you will work independently in collaboration with cross-functional teams to align migration strategies with enterprise standards and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

- Assess existing mainframe applications and document migration scope
- Design and implement migration strategies
- Perform code conversion, data migration, and workload transition to target platforms




- Develop and execute migration test plans
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to manage dependencies
- Identify and mitigate migration risks
- Optimize performance and cost post-migration
- Document architecture, processes, and knowledge transfer materials

Requirements:

- 10-12 years of total IT experience
- 6+ years in core mainframe development, support, and maintenance
- 4+ years dedicated to mainframe migration/modernization projects
- Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in Azure
- Expert mainframe batch job concepts (JCL, GDG, PDS)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
- Experience with operationalizing batch jobs
