IT Procurement consultant / Software Asset Mgr (India) Company: Important Group Job Location: India Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 5+ years Role: Perform an IT/OT category and supplier-market scan covering the services and capabilities required by the programme/project. Translate business, IT, architecture, security and transition requirements into practical sourcing strategies, supplier criteria and procurement plans. Prepare, coordinate and issue RFI, RFQ and RFP documentation with relevant business, IT, Legal, Security and Procurement stakeholders.

Plan and manage procurement milestones, dependencies and decisions in line with the integrated roadmap. Develop evaluation criteria, commercial models and scoring structures, and coordinate transparent supplier evaluations. Support supplier shortlisting, clarification meetings, negotiations and commercial recommendations.

Coordinate contracting activities and support supplier onboarding, mobilisation and handover. Maintain a consolidated view of supplier selection status, timeline, commercial assumptions, risks and decisions. Provide procurement input to reporting, budget discussions and Steering Committee decision material.

Essential requirements: At least 5years working as a Procurement consultant with a solid focus on the Software category in IT, or 5years working as a Software Asset Manager at large corporations.



Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and create alignment between commercial, technical and business perspectives. Strong analytical and structuring skills, with attention to detail and the ability to maintain transparency and auditability in procurement decisions.

Pragmatic, delivery-oriented and able to balance procurement quality, governance and compliance with programme deadlines and decision needs. Able to prioritise, create structure and maintain momentum in a fast-changing setting with incomplete information and multiple dependencies. Self-driven, collaborative and comfortable working both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary programme team.
