Role Descr iption The International Business Group Underwriting role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Gurgaon/ Noida. The role involves assessing and underwriting international health insurance proposals in line with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include evaluating risk profiles, analyzing medical and financial information, and determining appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing for group policies. The role also requires collaborating with sales, operations, actuarial, and product teams to support international business growth while maintaining portfolio quality. The individual will monitor portfolio performance, contribute to underwriting process improvements, prepare reports and documentation, and ensure adherence to compliance and internal audit standards.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical and risk assessment abilities, with experience interpreting medical, financial, and demographic data for group underwriting decisions.
- Knowledge of health insurance products,



international group business, and underwriting principles, preferably within the Indian insurance market.
- Proficiency in using Excel and other data or underwriting tools; comfort with reporting, MIS, and documentation.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to work with sales teams, clients, and internal departments.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, Actuarial Science, or a related field; professional insurance certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in health or group insurance underwriting, especially international portfolios, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in office in the Gurgaon/ Noida manage timelines, and adapt to a rapid-paced, performance-driven environment.
