Planet Eye Farm AI is looking for a motivated Agriculture graduate to join our Precision Agriculture team as an intern. The candidate will assist in crop monitoring, field data interpretation, and advisory support for agricultural operations, particularly in sugarcane cultivation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support crop monitoring and agricultural advisory activities using satellite and field data.
- Assist in analysis related to crop growth stages, irrigation requirements, and fertigation schedules.
- Identify crops and evaluate crop health, stress conditions, and field conditions.
- Provide support for sugarcane crop monitoring and field-level validation.
- Coordinate with field teams and farmers for ground-truthing and data collection.
- Assist in preparing agronomic insights and reports for internal teams.
- Communicate with farmers in Kannada to understand crop practices and field conditions.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. Agriculture / M.Sc.
Agriculture from a recognized university.
- Good understanding of agronomy, irrigation management, fertigation, and crop management practices.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of sugarcane cultivation.
- Ability to identify crops and understand growth stages.
- Basic understanding of precision agriculture concepts.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in Kannada language (mandatory).
- Familiarity with local agricultural terminology in Kannada.
- Positive communication and field interaction skills.
- Willingness to work with technology-driven agriculture solutions.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reporting, documentation).
- Must have knowledge about GPS, Coordinate System, Field Boundaries, Apps and Website understanding.
Preferred
- Exposure to field work in agriculture or plantation crops.
- Interest in remote sensing, satellite monitoring, or Agri-tech solutions.
