: Hostel Manager

Purpose of the Role To manage the day-to-day operations of the boys’ hostel, ensuring a protected, disciplined, clean, and comfortable living environment for students while enforcing university rules and policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hostel Administration

- Oversee all daily operations of the assigned hostel block(s)
- Maintain student records: room allotment, attendance, entry/exit registers, and visitor logs
- Manage room allocation, transfers, and vacating procedures
- Coordinate admissions-related hostel formalities at the start and end of each session

2. Discipline and Student Welfare

- Enforce hostel rules, timings, and the university code of conduct
- Conduct regular rounds, including night rounds, and roll-call checks
- Handle student grievances, conflicts,



and disciplinary matters promptly and fairly
- Take firm action against ragging, substance abuse, and any misconduct, and report incidents to higher authorities
- Provide guidance and support to students, including first-year and outstation students

Experience
- 10 to 15 years of experience in hostel, hospitality, or facility management, preferably in a university or residential institution
- Prior experience handling large student populations is preferred

Working Conditions
- Residential position; availability on campus is required, including nights and holidays on a rotational or on-call basis
- Must be able to respond to emergencies at any hour

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
