Role Description: This full-time, on-site Professor of Computer Science role is based at Amity University in Kolkata. The Professor will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer science, ensuring that curriculum content remains current, industry-relevant, and aligned with academic standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing and conducting lectures and labs, mentoring and advising students, supervising projects and theses, and evaluating student performance.

The role also involves engaging in research activities, publishing in reputable journals,



seeking research funding, and collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives. The Professor is expected to contribute to academic administration, participate in departmental meetings and committees, support accreditation and quality assurance processes, and foster an inclusive, learner-centered classroom environment.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in core Computer Science concepts and ability to teach a range of computer science courses.
- Expertise in Programming and related software development practices suitable for teaching and mentoring projects.
- Knowledge of Data Science, including data analysis, machine learning, and related tools and frameworks.
- Background in Cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies relevant to academic and industry contexts.
- Experience with Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated record of scholarly research, publications, and participation in academic conferences.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level, with evidence of effective, inclusive, and student-centered pedagogy.
- Ability to integrate practical, industry-focused case studies and projects into teaching.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work in a diverse academic environment.
