Role & responsibilities

- Lead overall plant finance operations, ensuring financial performance, profitability, EBITDA improvement, and effective risk management.
- Drive cost optimization, revenue enhancement, working capital management, and identification of additional revenue streams.
- Identify and maximize government incentives, state subsidies, fiscal benefits, and other applicable financial appropriations.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze budget variances, and establish effective financial control mechanisms across departments.
- Evaluate strategic investments, CAPEX proposals, and business projects through financial modelling, scenario analysis, risk assessment, and investment evaluation.
- Oversee financial accounting, preparation and analysis of financial statements, management reporting, and timely closure of financial records.
- Manage inventory accounting, material accounting, working capital, conversion costs, and inventory obsolescence optimization.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including Income Tax, GST, MSME Act, CARO, LODR, SEBI, FEMA, and other relevant regulations.
- Establish robust internal financial controls, review financial processes, and implement SOPs to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory audits, tax audits, physical verification, audit observations, and timely closure of audit reports.
- Handle tax assessments, litigation management, notices, appeals, and coordination with tax authorities, consultants, and legal advisors.
- Drive finance transformation through automation, digitization, paperless accounting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for implementing advanced technology, financial analytics, and automation to improve accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across finance operations.




- Lead, mentor, and develop the plant finance team through performance monitoring, training, job rotation, and capability-building initiatives.
- Work closely with Plant Heads, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, HR, and other cross-functional teams to support business decisions and achieve financial objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

Chartered Accountant (CA) with extensive experience in Plant Finance, Manufacturing Finance, and Financial Management.

Strong experience in independently managing finance operations of a manufacturing plant, including financial accounting, costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.

Hands-on expertise in EBITDA improvement, cost optimization, working capital management, inventory management, and profitability analysis.

Strong understanding of Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB), annual business planning, financial modelling, CAPEX evaluation, and investment analysis.

Good knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliances, including GST, Income Tax, MSME Act, CARO, SEBI, LODR, FEMA, and other applicable laws.

Experience in handling internal and external audits, tax assessments, litigation management, and coordination with statutory authorities.

Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, material accounting, inventory valuation, costing, conversion ratios, and financial performance monitoring.

Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and Advanced Excel, with exposure to financial analytics, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.

Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements, financial automation, digitization, and robust internal control mechanisms.

Proven experience in leading and developing finance teams, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and providing strategic financial insights to business leadership.

Solid leadership, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and business partnering skills.

Candidates from large-scale manufacturing, automotive, chemical, engineering, metals, or other process manufacturing industries will be preferred.
