Head Innovation & Business Centre

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Innovation & Business Leader to drive the development, commercialisation and scaling of sustainable packaging solutions. The role will lead the Innovation & Business Centre, with end-to-end responsibility for business strategy, P&L;, innovation portfolio, strategic partnerships and technology commercialisation.

The individual will bridge material science, R&D; and business development to develop scalable, commercially viable and environmentally responsible alternatives to conventional plastic packaging.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Innovation Centre's P&L;, financial planning, budgeting and business growth strategy.
- Drive innovation across rigid food-service packaging, flexible packaging, biomaterials and waste valorisation.
- Lead end-to-end product development, technology validation, customer trials, pilot projects and commercial scale-up.
- Build strategic partnerships with global brands, QSRs, research institutions, technology providers and manufacturing partners.




- Provide technical direction in cellulose chemistry, material science, fibre-based materials, formulations and manufacturing processes.
- Establish IP protection, product certification, regulatory compliance and sustainability standards.

Candidate Profile

- 1520 years of experience in Packaging, Paper & Pulp, Specialty Chemicals, Biomaterials or related industries.
- Minimum 5 years in senior business leadership roles with demonstrated P&L; responsibility.
- Strong expertise in R&D;, materials science, cellulose chemistry, sustainable packaging and technology commercialisation.
- Experience in global customer management, strategic partnerships, licensing and technology scale-up.
- Proven ability to convert innovation into commercially successful products and business opportunities.
- Solid strategic thinking, financial acumen and leadership capabilities.
