- Our client is a Multi-Billion Global OEM with its presence in more than 40 countries across the globe and has multiple manufacturing plants and a dedicated R&D; Centre within the India Landscape. They have a strong footprint across India and international markets

Responsibilities

Reporting into the leadership team, the Head of International Purchase - India will be responsible for leading Global Sourcing and Export Procurement initiatives from India for manufacturing operations across international markets.Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and executing international sourcing strategies aligned with global procurement objectives.

- Identifying and delivering cost optimisation opportunities through strategic supplier engagement and global sourcing initiatives.

- Leading end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier identification, RFQ management, commercial negotiations, supplier selection, and contract execution.

- Building and strengthening an export-ready supplier ecosystem capable of supporting global manufacturing requirements.

- Driving supplier industrialisation, capacity planning, quality readiness, and operational excellence initiatives.

- Partnering closely with global stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, supply chain, and finance functions.

- Monitoring supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability metrics while implementing continuous improvement programmes.





- Managing strategic supplier relationships and mitigating supply chain, compliance, and operational risks.

- Leading and developing a high-performing procurement and sourcing team while influencing cross-functional stakeholders across geographies.

The Successful Applicant

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline; a post-graduate qualification would be advantageous.

- 20 years of experience within Automotive/Equivalent OEM/Industrial Manufacturing, or related sectors.

- Proven track record in Direct Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Global Purchasing, or International Supplier Development Environments.

- Strong understanding of Manufacturing Processes including Fabrication, Machining, Sheet Metal, Castings, Forgings, Welding, Heat Treatment, and Assembly Operations.

- Deep expertise in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Commercial Negotiations, Cost Management, and Contract Administration.

- Exposure to International Trade, Cross-Border Sourcing, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.

- Demonstrated ability to influence global stakeholders and operate within complex matrix organisations.

- Experience working with ERP and Procurement Platforms.
