Role Description The Graduate Student role at NexAvens Scientific Library is a full time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The individual in this role will support the scholarly publishing process by assisting with manuscript screening, literature searches, and basic editorial checks aligned with the organization’s ethical and quality standards. Daily responsibilities may include organizing and updating research databases, preparing summaries or abstracts, and helping ensure accurate metadata and documentation for submitted manuscripts.

The Graduate

Student will collaborate with editors and other team members on routine communication with authors and reviewers,



and may contribute to workflow improvements that enhance discoverability and editorial quality. This role offers exposure to scientific publishing processes and opportunities to develop academic and research communication skills.

- Candidates should possess strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to conduct literature reviews, interpret scientific information, and organize data clearly.
- Candidates should possess academic writing and documentation skills, such as drafting summaries, abstracts, and structured reports in clear and accurate English.
- Candidates should possess basic editorial and proofreading abilities, with attention to detail in formatting, consistency, and adherence to guidelines.
- Candidates should possess fundamental understanding of scientific or scholarly communication, peer review concepts, and ethical research practices.
- Candidates should possess good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
- Candidates should possess effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with editors, authors, and team members in a professional manner.
- A graduate degree or ongoing postgraduate study in a relevant field (such as life sciences, pharmacy, agriculture, biotechnology, dentistry, veterinary sciences, or related disciplines) would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with digital tools used in academic publishing (e.g., reference managers, document editing software, or online submission systems) would be an advantage.
