Role Description This is a full time, on-site Gold Loan Officer role based in the Pune Division.

The Gold Loan

Officer is responsible for handling end-to-end gold loan operations, including customer interaction, gold appraisal coordination, documentation, and loan processing. The role involves explaining gold loan products, eligibility, interest rates, and repayment terms to customers, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines. Daily activities include verifying customer credentials, maintaining accurate records, monitoring repayments, managing renewals, and supporting branch-level sales targets.

Officer also collaborates with branch staff to drive gold loan business, deliver high-quality customer service, and safeguard pledged gold assets.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Candidates should possess basic financial and banking knowledge, including understanding of loan products, documentation, and compliance practices.
- Candidates should possess sales and negotiation skills to promote gold loan offerings and support branch business growth.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and record-keeping skills for handling transactions and documentation.
- Relevant experience in retail banking, NBFCs, or gold loan operations is beneficial.
- Minimum educational qualification: graduate in any discipline; additional certifications in finance or banking are an advantage.
- Comfort with using banking software and digital tools, and ability to work in a fast-paced branch environment.
- Integrity and adherence to ethical standards, especially in handling customer assets and sensitive information.
