About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional to take overall responsibility for factory and associated business operations. Our business includes flour milling, food processing and packaged foods. This is a broad leadership role with direct access to the company’s leadership and the opportunity to strengthen systems, build a dependable team and improve business performance.

The scope goes beyond production and requires strong operational execution, people management and commercial discipline.

Responsibilities

- Role and Responsibilities
- Overall factory operations and coordination across departments.
- Production planning, output, quality, yield and wastage management.
- Raw material, packaging and finished goods inventory management, including physical verification and reconciliation.
- Dispatch, loading controls, documentation and logistics coordination.
- Procurement planning and supplier coordination.
- Manpower deployment, productivity, discipline and factory administration.
- Preventive maintenance, breakdown resolution, hygiene and safety.
- Operating cost management, expense controls and coordination with accounts.
- Daily reporting, issue resolution and implementation of practical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Coordination with sales to align production and dispatch with customer commitments.
- Ensuring adherence to defined product specifications, quality standards and food safety requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable FSSAI regulations, statutory requirements, food safety documentation and audit processes.
- Experience
- 10–15+ years of relevant experience in Food Processing Unit
- Criteria
- Preference for candidates from flour mills, grain and cereal processing, atta, besan, pulses, rice milling, spices or comparable food processing units.
- Experience beyond production,



particularly in inventory, dispatch, manpower management and operational controls, is essential
- Candidates from larger organizations may be considered if they have personally managed a broad operational mandate and can work effectively with a lean team
- Working knowledge of Excel and ERP/inventory management systems is expected. Hindi proficiency is important; knowledge of Assamese or another relevant local language is an advantage.
- Experience with FSSAI compliance, food safety documentation and audits.
- Willingness to relocate and work full-time from the factory near Guwahati, Assam
- Availability of credible references from previous employers or senior reporting managers.
- Age and Engagement
- There is no fixed age restriction.
- Retired or recently retired professionals are welcome, provided they are interested in actively leading daily operations and can commit to being based at the factory.
- Sourcing Direction
- Prioritise trusted industry networks and personal/qualified referrals rather than broad job-portal sourcing.
- Suitable current or previous designations may include General Manager, Factory Manager, Plant Head or Operations Head.
- Candidate suitability should be assessed based on actual responsibilities and operational ownership rather than designation alone.

- B. Tech / M. Tech / in Mechanical Background / in Food Technology / Wheat Flour Milling Course (Other graduates with substantial relevant experience may also be considered)
