Role Summary
Develop and improve seasonings and spice blends for snacks and food products, from lab trials to plant scale-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new seasoning formulations and improve existing ones for taste, cost and shelf life
- Benchmark competitor products and match target flavour profiles
- Run sensory evaluations, stability tests and plant trials
- Coordinate with vendors and flavour houses for samples and ingredients
- Maintain formulation sheets, trial reports and specifications
- Ensure FSSAI, allergen and HACCP compliance
Requirements
- B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc in Food Technology, Food Science or Chemistry
- 2-6 years in seasoning/NPD in FMCG, snacks, spices or a flavour house
- Knowledge of spices, flavour enhancers and flavour chemistry
- Valuable coordination skills with QA, production, procurement and marketing
- Proficiency in MS Excel
