Role Description The Fashion Designer and Merchandiser will work full time on-site at the Mumbai location, contributing to the end-to-end design and merchandising process. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching trends, conceptualizing new collections, creating sketches and technical specifications, and collaborating with production teams to ensure quality and fit.

The role involves planning product assortments, coordinating with buying and marketing teams, and analyzing sales performance to optimize ranges and pricing. The professional will support photo shoots, visual presentation, and online merchandising to maintain a cohesive brand image across platforms. Close coordination with cross-functional teams is expected to ensure timely delivery of collections and alignment with market demands.

Qualifications

- Fashion design skills,



including trend research, sketching, and creating technical drawings and specifications.
- Merchandising capabilities such as assortment planning, inventory awareness, and understanding of pricing and margins.
- Knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and quality standards in women’s apparel.
- Ability to interpret market insights and customer preferences to develop commercially viable collections.
- Proficiency in design and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, CAD software, or equivalent).
- Robust communication and collaboration skills for working with production, marketing, and e-commerce teams.
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Prior experience in fashion design or merchandising, preferably in women’s wear or casual apparel, is an advantage.
