- 10+ years of experience in product development (including up to 3 years in engineering management).
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with the MEAN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, Angular (2+), and Node.js in a product development environment.
- Proven experience designing and operating production workloads on AWS, including services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, and RDS/DocumentDB or MongoDB Atlas.
- Hands-on proficiency with MongoDB Atlas: cluster management, performance tuning, indexing, aggregation framework, change streams, and backup/restore strategies.
- Maintain hands-on involvement with coding approximately 20% of the time.
- Expertise in architecture and design reviews, system design, code reviews, customer issues, troubleshooting, and defect triage.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex distributed-systems issues.

- Excellent communication and servant-leadership skills.
- Knowledge and experience of agile development methodology (Scrum, Agile, and Kanban).

Preferred:

- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK).
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS).
- Experience with event-driven architectures, message queues (SQS, SNS, Kafka), and microservices patterns.
- Background in a product-driven SaaS or financial services company.
- Architect-level experience is a plus.
