Position: Embedded Audio Software Engineer – Linux & ALSA
Experience: 4 to 8 Years
Location: Bangalore
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and debug embedded audio software and Linux audio drivers.
- Work on Audio HAL and ALSA development, integration, and debugging.
- Analyse and troubleshoot audio issues such as glitches, latency, timestamp mismatches, and packet loss.
- Work on audio processing concepts, including mixing, filtering, audio enhancement, and noise reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand audio architecture and implement software components.
- Support audio validation, performance characterisation, and subsystem enablement.
- Debug and optimise audio software for next-generation SoC platforms.
- Identify root causes of audio performance and functionality issues.
Technical Skills
- Strong programming experience in C .
- Hands-on experience with Linux Audio Driver (ALSA) development and debugging .
- Practical knowledge of Audio HAL .
- Positive understanding of audio concepts, including:
- Audio glitches and root-cause analysis
- Audio latency and timestamp issues
- Packet loss
- Audio mixing and filtering
- Audio enhancement and noise reduction
- Experience in embedded software development and debugging.
