Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

- Perform routine electrical maintenance, inspection, and repair work across the university campus.

- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical panels, distribution boards (DBs), wiring, switches, sockets, and lighting systems.

- Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure timely resolution to minimize operational disruptions.

- Maintain and monitor electrical installations, including LT panels, transformers, DG sets, and UPS systems.

- Attend electrical breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.

- Inspect electrical systems and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.

- Monitor power distribution and identify opportunities to reduce electrical losses and energy consumption.

- Coordinate with the Project and Maintenance teams for electrical installation, repair, and upgradation work.

- Maintain daily maintenance records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance checklists.

- Ensure proper use of electrical tools, testing instruments, and safety equipment.

- Coordinate with external electrical contractors and service providers whenever required.

- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety procedures and institutional standards.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Robust knowledge of electrical wiring, installation, and maintenance.





- Practical experience in electrical fault finding and troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of LT panels, distribution boards, transformers, DG sets, and UPS systems.

- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

- Knowledge of electrical testing instruments such as multimeters and clamp meters.

- Understanding of electrical safety practices, earthing, and preventive maintenance.

- Ability to work independently and handle emergency breakdowns.

Eligibility Criteria

- ITI in Electrician Trade or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

- 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical operation and maintenance.

- Experience in institutional, university, hospital, commercial building, or industrial maintenance will be preferred.

- Candidates should be willing to work in shifts and attend emergency breakdowns as required.

- Timely resolution of electrical complaints and breakdowns.

- Completion of scheduled preventive maintenance activities.

- Reduction in recurring electrical faults.

- Compliance with electrical safety standards.

- Proper maintenance of electrical records and documentation.

- Minimum disruption to daily university operations.

Pay: ₹8,600.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
