1. Job Summary

The Dietitian / Nutritionist is responsible for assessing patients' nutritional requirements, planning personalized diet charts, providing nutritional counselling, and monitoring patients' dietary progress. The role involves coordinating with doctors, nursing staff, and the kitchen department to ensure appropriate nutritional care for patients.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct nutritional assessments of patients based on their medical conditions and dietary requirements.
- Prepare individualized diet plans according to the doctor's advice and patient's health condition.
- Provide diet counselling to IPD and OPD patients.
- Plan therapeutic diets for patients with diabetes, hypertension, kidney disorders, cardiac conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, and other medical conditions.
- Monitor patients' nutritional status and evaluate their progress.
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding patients' dietary requirements.
- Conduct regular rounds of IPD patients to review their nutritional intake and requirements.
- Educate patients and their attendants about healthy eating habits and lifestyle modifications.
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure proper preparation and distribution of patient diets.
- Ensure that special diets, including diabetic, low-salt, renal, liquid, and soft diets, are provided as prescribed.
- Maintain proper documentation of diet charts, nutritional assessments, counselling records, and patient follow-ups.
- Monitor food quality, hygiene,



portion sizes, and nutritional standards.
- Conduct nutritional awareness sessions and health education activities.
- Follow hospital policies, patient safety guidelines, and infection control protocols.

1. Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics / Clinical Nutrition.
- Relevant hospital or clinical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and medical nutrition therapy.
- Valuable understanding of nutritional assessment and counselling.

1. Departmental Responsibilities

- Ensure smooth functioning of the Dietetics Department.
- Maintain proper records of daily patient diet requirements.
- Ensure timely communication of diet changes to the kitchen.
- Conduct regular audits of patient diet services.
- Support hospital quality improvement and NABH-related activities.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
