Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer to join our Product & Tooling Development team at Hinjewadi, Pune. The successful candidate will design, develop, and validate sheet metal components, sub-assemblies, press tools, and fixtures according to OEM specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Product & Tooling Design
- Create 3D CAD models, 2D detailed manufacturing drawings, and layout assemblies SolidWorks, or CATIA V5.
- Design automotive sheet metal components, press tools (progressive, compound, draw dies), jigs, welding fixtures, and gauges.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
- Feasibility & Engineering Analysis
- Perform formability analysis, press tonnage calculations, and material utilization (strip layout)



optimization for sheet metal parts.
- Execute GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) application and stack-up analysis on complex assemblies.
- APQP & Documentation
- Maintain Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) checklists, trial reports, inspection reports, and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents.
- Prepare Engineering Change Requests/Orders (ECR/ECO) and maintain technical release documentation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with Quality Control, Production, Tool Room, and Costing departments to ensure smooth prototype development and mass manufacturing transition.
- Interact with OEM clients to gather technical specifications, address feedback, and manage sample submissions.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in automotive sheet metal component design or press tool and fixture design.
- Software Proficiency:
- SolidWorks, CATIA V5.
- 2D Drafting: AutoCAD.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes (stamping, bending, deep drawing, welding).
- Working knowledge of automotive standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
