The Data Migration Consultant owns the extraction, transformation, validation, and load of master and transactional data into Dayshape as part of the firm’s Resource Management implementation. The consultant works closely with the Dayshape Technical Integration Lead, Resource Management, ETI’s SAP, Workday, and integration teams, and the Dayshape vendor team to deliver complete, accurate, and audit-ready data across mock loads, cutover, and go-live for Assurance and subsequent rollouts to Advisory and Tax.

Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end data migration approach for the Dayshape implementation, including scope, object inventory, mapping, load sequencing, mock load cycles, cutover plan, and post go-live reconciliation.
- Define source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and data dependencies for Dayshape objects, including Clients, Resources, Users, Units (Geographical and Functional), Grades, Unavailability, Actuals, and Job Groups for Clients, Projects, and Work Packages.
- Migrate and maintain Dayshape Traits and Resource Traits (RT) data, including Languages, Skills, and Certifications, ensuring correct linkage between trait definitions and resource assignments.
- Extract and consolidate data from source systems, including SAP S/4HANA (Clients, Projects, Work Packages, Actuals), Workday (Employees/Resources, Certifications, Grades, Units), LC Vista (Certifications, Traits, Jurisdictions), and other firm systems.
- Build and run data extraction, transformation, and load processes using Dayshape import templates and APIs, SAP CPI / BTP, SQL, and Microsoft Fabric or comparable tooling, in coordination with the integration team to align migration logic with ongoing integration design.
- Design and execute data profiling, cleansing, de-duplication, and standardization activities; partner with business data owners to resolve quality issues, gaps, and conflicting source values.
- Define and run validation and reconciliation checks (record counts, key-field comparisons, hierarchy and relationship integrity) and produce sign-off evidence for each load cycle.
- Manage load sequencing and dependencies across objects (for example, Units and Grades before Resources, Resources before Unavailability and Actuals, Clients before Job Groups) and manage rollback and reload procedures.
- Maintain migration documentation, mapping specifications, load logs, defect logs,

and reconciliation reports to support internal and external audit requests.
- Support UAT and cutover, including defect triage, data fixes, go-live readiness checkpoints, and hypercare data issue resolution.
- Communicate migration status, risks, and decisions clearly to Resource Management, ETI leadership, and program stakeholders; coordinate with the Dayshape vendor team on load issues and platform constraints.
- Contribute reusable migration assets (templates, scripts, checklists) so subsequent service line rollouts can be completed efficiently and consistently.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in enterprise application data migration, data integration, or data conversion, with hands-on ownership of multiple migration cycles from mapping through cutover.
- Experience migrating data into a SaaS resource management, PSA, or workforce planning platform (e.g., Dayshape, Profinda, Certinia, or comparable); Dayshape experience is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA master and project data (customers/clients, WBS, projects, work packages, actuals) and experience extracting data from SAP.
- Working knowledge of Workday HCM data (workers, job profiles, grades, organizations, certifications, skills) and the ability to extract and reconcile Workday data.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL/data tools (e.g., SAP CPI/BTP, Microsoft Fabric/Azure Data Factory, Power Query, or equivalent); proficiency with Excel and data validation techniques.
- Experience with data quality management, including profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and audit-ready documentation in a regulated or professional services environment.
- Understanding of data security and access controls, including handling of sensitive employee and client data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with business data owners, technical teams, and program leadership.
