Our product portfolio includes bucket elevator components, screw conveyors, air slides, feeders, packing plant spares, and Hardox wear parts. With two manufacturing units and a workforce of approximately 100 employees, we cater to both domestic and international customers.

Role PurposeWe are looking for an experienced Costing & Estimation Professional who can independently develop and implement a standardized costing system across manufacturing operations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for establishing accurate product costing methods, including material consumption, machine-hour rates, labour costs, and overhead allocation.

The role will play a critical part in improving quotation accuracy, turnaround time, pricing decisions, and overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities1.

Product

Costing &

• Estimation

- Prepare end-to-end product cost estimates based on engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and calculate material weights, consumption, nesting, scrap, and wastage.
- Estimate costs related to raw materials, cutting, fabrication, welding, machining, casting, heat treatment, painting, labour, and overheads.
- Include packing, freight, and export documentation costs wherever applicable.

Development &

• Management
- Develop and maintain machine-hour rates, labour rates, and overhead absorption rates across both manufacturing units.
- Establish scrap and material yield norms for MS, SS, Bright Bar, Hardox 450/500, engineering steels, and castings.
- Create standardized costing sheets for different product categories.




- Maintain a historical cost database for reference and future quotations.
- Develop and improve costing masters within the ERP system.

3. Pricing, Cost Control & • Reporting
- Recommend selling prices based on product costs, target margins, and market considerations.
- Monitor estimated versus actual costs for completed orders and investigate significant cost variations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through material optimization, improved nesting, process improvements, and make-or-buy decisions.
- Prepare monthly profitability and cost variance reports for senior management.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of pricing, costing, and commercial information.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for raw material and vendor pricing.
- Work with Production to understand manufacturing processes, cycle times, and process routes.
- Coordinate with the Sales Department to ensure timely and accurate quotations.
- Ensure all estimates are technically accurate and commercially viable.

Required Skills & • Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Ability to independently prepare BOMs and calculate material weights and consumption.
- Hands-on experience in costing fabrication, machining, casting, and industrial components.
- Strong material knowledge of MS, SS, Bright Bar, Hardox 450/500, and engineering steels.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD software for drawing interpretation.
- ERP costing module experience will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, communication, and problem-solving skills.




- Ability to explain costing structures and margin calculations to senior management.

Preferred Industry BackgroundCandidates from the following industries will be given priority:
1. First Preference: Cement plant equipment and spares, mining equipment, and bulk material handling industries. Experience with bucket elevators, conveyors, feeders, crushers, chutes, hoppers, and wear liners will be highly preferred.
2. Second Preference: Heavy engineering, steel fabrication, wear-resistant steel products, foundry, and industrial machining.
3. Third Preference: Other industrial manufacturing companies with significant heavy fabrication operations.

- Hands-on professional who personally handles detailed product costing rather than relying entirely on a team.
- Maintains high levels of integrity and confidentiality regarding commercial information.
- Self-driven individual interested in building and developing the costing function for long-term organizational growth.
